Adding an Axis IP Speaker - (Pre FW Verison 3.2)

This guide will outline how to connect the AXIS Network Speaker to a CHeKT Bridge using a firmware version less than 3.2.0
In Firmware 3.2.0 and higher the setup and connection process is simplified.  
Important Notes: 
  1. The Audio Talk-Down service for the site must be enabled.  Click here for directions.
  2. We recommend to assign a static IP address to the IP Speaker for ease of configuration
  3. The administrator credentials from the IP speaker, as well as its know local IP, are required.

Accessing the Speaker:

1. Navigate to the local interface of the IP speaker, and log in - this will take you to the depicted overview page:

















2. Set your static IP information using the settings option in the left-hand menu: 
(Recommended, non DHCP Configuration shown)


Adding the Speaker

1. Access the "Programming" Tab, under " Site Devices:"



2. Locate the "Audio" portion of the Quick-Program Sheet:




3. Click "Add IP Audio Device" and Add the speaker using the information you designated in the Axis Setup, and a custom name.


4. After the successful add, the model information and volume should be visible in the "IP Audio Device" tab.
