How to Create a Division in CHeKT

Overview

Divisions allow you to organize Sites and Users within your CHeKT Dealer Account. This article explains how to create a Division, assign Sites, and add users.

Create a New Division

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Under Users & Groups, select Divisions.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter a Division Name to make it easy to identify.
  5. (Optional) Add a Description for the Division.
  6. Click Create.



Once created, the new Division will appear on the Division List page.

Assign Sites to a Division

  1. From the Division List, select the Division you just created.
  2. On the Division Details page, select Site.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Search for the Site by name.
  5. Select the checkbox next to the desired Site(s).
  6. Click Add.


InfoNote: You can assign multiple Sites to a Division at the same time.

  1. When prompted with "Add 1 Site to Division?" (or the appropriate number of Sites), click Add to confirm.

The selected Site(s) are now assigned to the Division.

Add Users to a Division

Assign a New User into a Division:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Users.
  2. Select Add.
  3. Enable Divisions.
  4. Assign the desired Permission Group.
  5. Select appropriate Divisions.
  6. Click Create to assign the new user.

If the user already exists in your CHeKT Dealer Account:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Users.
  2. Select or Search for the existing user.
  3. Enable Divisions.
  4. Select the appropriate Division.
  5. Assign the desired Permission Group.
  6. Click Save to apply the changes.

The users will receive a welcome email notifying them that they have been added to the Division.
