Mounting Cameras Using the Video Stream URL Function (RTSP)


  1. Using the video stream URL to mount a camera to the CHeKT Bridge is recommended when the standard API mounting process will not allow connection to the camera stream. We recommend using The Standard Camera Mounting Process whenever possible. 
  2. These websites can help you locate the RTSP stream information: https://security.world/rtsp or https://www.ispyconnect.com/cameras.

Important: When using the URL method you need to ensure the video stream resolution is 720p or less and the FPS are 6



Begin by Clicking Add on the Device list and selecting Add Camera


Select the target Bridge Channel the RTSP Stream will be mounted to:

With the Channel Selected click on Add Device Manually :

On the Authentication step, change the drop down from IP Address to Video Stream URL



Enter the correct Video Stream URL that was prepared as referenced in the note at the start of the article with the correct administrator credentials for the device, and click Authentication :

You should be presented with a snapshot of the target stream for validation:
