Qolsys and the Bridge

Qolsys and the Bridge

Our CHeKT Bridge is designed to respond to the state change in continuity for ease of operation with most security intrusion devices. For wireless systems, it's typical to use an available programmable output and relay combination to apply this short in the presence of the desired condition.

The Qolsys system, lacking this option, will need to utilize one of the following methods for interfacing with the CKB304:

Triggering The CKB304 (All Versions) using the External Siren Output

A)The Qolsys Siren output changes state in the event of an alarm condition so it may apply voltage to the optional exterior siren.
B)This siren output can be wired directly into an input channel of our Bridge.
C)In this configuration, an arming input setup is non-required, as the Qolsys system will only remove the short in the event of an alarm.
*Programming in Portal for Arming will be "Always Armed"
            * Reacting Bridge Inputs will be programmed as N/O in this method

Triggering The CKB304 (All Versions) using the External Siren Output With Siren and Relay Option:

Triggering the Bridge Input Zones with the MIMOlite Wireless Zwave Module:

A). The Qolsys Keypad/Panel Combination is capable of being placed in furnished living areas without a flush mount and sometimes lacks the option to have any hard wired devices visible. With that in mind, the "MIMOlite Wireless ZWAVE Output Module" can be learned into the alarm.com portal as a "light switch" and told to change a relay state in the event of an alarm. In this fashion, an installer can connect the device to the CKB304 in a less visible area while it communicates over radio with the Qolsys Panel on a living room/kitchen table.
B) Installing Tech needs only to connect the NC relay output to the input on our Bridge, and use the alarm.com portal to tell the device to change state in the event of an alarm condition.
C) As with the Bell method, the arming input is non required as the state change will only happen in the event of an alarm condition.
*Program in Portal for Arming will be "Always Armed"
            * Reacting Bridge Inputs will be programmed as N/C in Portal when wiring in this method:

            Alarm.com Programming for MIMolite:

A) When Logged into your alarm.com Portal, this device can be learned in under the automation rules as a Light switch.
B)Tech will add a "Rule" under "automation" to tell the device what conditions to react to:

In this configuration, the CKB304 will upload events into the monitoring portal when the event goes into an alarm condition without the need to run any wires between the CKB304 and the Qolsys Touch Keypad.

Always test all components and communication prior to completion.
