Remote Access for Connecting to Site Cameras and Recorders

Remote Access for Connecting to Site Cameras and Recorders

With the Remote Access feature available on your CHeKT Bridge, security companies can remotely connect to the web interface of any camera or recorder paired to a Bridge channel.  This remote access feature can save your company significant time and money by proving you with connectivity to cameras from the CHeKT Dealer Portal.

1. On any Bridge channel, open the channel settings and select the "Remote Access" tab.

* Note: If Remote Access is not enabled on the site, you will need to enable the Remote Device Connection service plan.  Contact your central station for pricing and availability.

2. With the service enabled you will see a timer slider and a "Create access URL" button.

3. Select the desired time you need to access the camera or recorders.
4. Click, "Create access URL"
5. At this point, you will see a URL that you can click or copy. With a time of when the URL will expire.

6. When you click the URL you will be taken directly to the web interface of your camera in a secure channel.
Note: Some cameras and recorders require Internet Explorer.  In these cases, just copy the URL and past it into your Internet Explorer address line.
