DW VMax IP Plus NVR - (RTSP Mounting)
Digital Watchdog VMAX NVRs can be used with the CHeKT Video Verification Solution by utilizing the "Video Stream URL" Mounting Method.
Below, we will provide the approved Video Stream URL for the VMax NVR and the steps to mount streams to the CHeKT Bridge.
Example Valid Video Stream URL: rtsp://192.168.x.x:554/sub/chX
(554 = The Current RTSP Port, X = Camera Channel)
*This URL is for stream mounting through the NVR; the IP camera may have a different RTSP URL
Stream Prep in NVR for Mounting:
- Ensure you can log in to the VMAX Recorder using the Local IP address and Admin Credentials:
- Access the Camera Management Screen via the Record SubMenu :
- Access the "Set up" for your target Mounted IP Camera (we are going to mount Channel 8)
- Ensure the Secondary Stream Resolution is Set to these Parameters: *always double check config at camera directly if encountering errors, visual for frame of reference ~
- This is the stream we are going to mount to the CHeKT Bridge; the Main Stream will remain unaffected.
Portal Mounting:
- Access the CHeKT Dealer Portal and Navigate to the Device Tab for the target customer:
- Open the Bridge Settings:
- Select Channels:
- Select the target unused Channel:
- Choose Manual:
- and Video Stream URL:
- Now, we will enter the provided URL above, filling in pertinent variables and enter the Admin Credential Below:

- The portal will present a snapshot:
- Simply Click "Next" to Mount
- And fill in pertinent info as per the standard mounting method:
- Click Finish
*RTSP Method does not support ONVIF alarm communication method.
