Bold Integration Setup - URL Launch & XML Receiver
Bold Integration Setup - URL Launch & XML Receiver
The integration with Bold has two specific requirements. Setting up an Action Pattern and your XML Receiver. Once this is complete you will connect the CHeKT XML Server to your XML Receiver.
1. Bold XML Receiver Setup
You will need the Bold FEP or Media Gateway Service to support XML
Add a new Receiver Type
Receiver Code: CHEKTXML
Name: CHeKT XML Driver
Driver: BOLDXML
Options: DEBUG=1,MODEL=1,HB=1
Add a new Receiver Line Prefix (optional but recommended)
Receiver Line Prefix: CHEKT
Description: CHeKT XML Delivery
Leave all options set to "0"
Create a new System Customer (or copy existing) for Unknown Signals
Add a new Receiver on all appropriate FEPs
Receiver Type: CHEKTXML
Description: CHeKT XML Receiver
Port Type: TCP/IP (In)
Host IP: 127.0.0.1
Port Number: Any Port not currently in use
Default Receiver Line Prefix: CHeKT XML Delivery
Default Monitoring Group: Monitoring Group 0 (or as appropriate)
Default Designation for Unknown Signals
Receiver Line Prefix: CHeKT XML Delivery
Transmitter ID: (as set above)
You will need to create a port forwarding entry in your firewall to allow the CHeKT Portal to push XML signals into your receiver. This needs to auto-resolve to the live server at all times. This is sometimes referred to as Nat Load Balancing or an Availability Group
2. Action Pattern URL Launch
Action Pattern will ensure that the CHeKT Monitoring Portal is automatically launched when an operator is processing an alarm signal.
The two URL Parameter options that need to be checked are "Contact Serial Number"
And "Alarm Zone"
Then "Add Item"
Once added you will see the "Launch" in the Action plan Steps.
We recommend that the Launch URL is the first step in the Action Pattern for all CHeKT Customers. This will allow an operator to see cameras asap and provide customers with video information.
3. Setup your XML Receiver in the CHeKT Dealer Portal.
Go to the Dealer Settings
Under Integration, Select XML Alarm Receiver
Press "New Receiver in the top right.
Select "Bold" as your Brand.
Name: Enter a name for your XML Receiver Setup.
Description: Enter a description for your XML Receiver Setup.
Enable: This must be checked to enable the receiver.
Public: If this is selected then other dealers can use this XML Receiver and select your account as their monitoring station.
Require Passkey: This will force another dealer to know this passkey if they need to use your account as their monitoring station.
(+) To Add Receivers:
URL: This is your public IP and port information into your XML receiver. In the event you elect to use the CHeKT VPN server, a CHeKT support employee will need to provide this connection string. (Example: tcp://xx.xx.x.x:8082)
Heartbeat: In seconds, how often our cloud will need to send a heartbeat signal to your XML receiver.
