What is the benefit to using the 305 relay with the DMP XR150?

What is the benefit to using the 305 relay with the DMP XR150?

Either of the below wiring methods provide the same function of "arming" a Bridge..

The difference would be that while using the 305 and Output 1 or 2, you could actually provide the 12v+ from a power supply instead of the keypad bus (terminal 7, grey wire in the online diagram) if you were close to the amp budget of the panel. The only true "advantage" would be being able to remove the harness, or 305 from the XR board to simulate loss of voltage without having to actually arm the system, but this can also be achieved by manually turning the output on through the user menu on the keypad, or with the Remote/System Link software.
