If your automation software populates the zone variable in the URL request for our monitoring portal while the "2 Minute Playback Loop" option is enabled and no alarm detection devices opened to cause an event, the portal will generate a 2 minute clip that can be shared just like the event clips in the portal. This function allows an alarm system without hard-wired alarm detectors to create clips that can be stored and shared, as well as the access to the camera live streams. The 2 minute playback loop can be manually activated by an operator as well while viewing the live view of a stream with valuable information.
In this article, i will show you how to enable that playback loop function in the Site Settings menu, how to manually create the playback loop and what it consists of, and how to access and share it with authorities or end users.
Enable the Playback Loop Option:
1. Select your customer:
2. From the customer window, access "Site Settings," and select "Service Plan:"
3. Click "Edit Service:"
4. Select the Checkbox that has the 2 minute Payback Option and click Save Changes:
*Note* This change will incur a monthly fee increase from CHeKT. If you don't have permissions to change this option, you may need to contact your Central Station Account Manager to Request this function.
Generate 2 Minute Playback Clip Manually:
1. With the live view of a camera stream opened in the Monitoring Portal, Simply Click the "Playback" Button:

2. The view will change to one containing 2 windows, and the portal will inform you that your 2 minute playback clip is being generated:
3. With the playback Loop Playing on repeat in the window on the right, you will notice it has appeared in the queue as an event:
3. That clip is available in the History of our monitoring portal just like all of the events generated from opening contacts, you can share the event link:
-Or download:
This clip can be sent out as an alarm verification clip during processing as well and can be accessed on the Heat Map for the site for 30 days along with the rest of the snapshot clips.
