ExacqVision Server Mounting Camera Channel – (RTSP Mounting)

The CHeKT Bridge can mount cameras directly from an ExacqVision server.  In applications where the IP cameras are located on a segmented camera network, the CHeKT Bridge can pull the video stream from the camera through the RTSP protocol of the ExacqVision server.

NotesThe Exacq server must be a Pro or Enterprise version and have software version 19.12 or higher

InfoThe steps defined below do not include learning a camera into the Exacq server.
  1. Adding a "Substream/Multistream" for the desired camera channel.
    1. Select your camera channel
    2. Add Multistream

    3. Enter a name for the new stream.

  2. Go to the Camera Recording Menu
    1. Edit the Frame Rate, Resolution and Format
      1. Frame Rate: 6
      2. Resolution: Less than 720p
      3. Format: H.264
    2. "Apply" changes.

  3. Go to the Server RTSP Settings
    1. If necessary enable the RTSP Server and set a password.

    2. The RTSP Service Status will show: Running
    3. Note the RTSP URL for the Substream that you added. Example: CHeKT SubStream 1 =  (rtsp://172.16.242.220:8554/270139648)
      1. If the RTSP address has "localhost", you will need to replace this with the local IP address of the server.
      2. Example: rtsp://localhost:8554/270139648 = rtsp://172.16.242.220:8554/270139648
      3. Server IP address is displayed in Configure System -> Network Tab

  4. With the RTSP URL noted in step 3.(d) above, go to the CHeKT Portal.
    1. Follow the URL Mounting Directions here.
