Restricting Customer Arming
Overview
The Restrict Manual Arming feature prevents App Users from arming a site outside of its configured Arming Schedule. This ensures that sites remain disarmed during designated hours while still allowing App Users to arm and disarm freely during scheduled arming windows.
How It Works
When an Arming Schedule is configured, the restriction is applied as follows:
Example:
Prerequisites
Before enabling Arming Restriction, you must have an Arming Schedule configured for the site.
📋 See
this article for instructions on setting up an Arming Schedule.
Enabling Arming Restriction
Once an Arming Schedule is in place, follow these steps:
Navigate to App Users
Select Site Controls & Visibility
Click Edit
Toggle on "Restrict Manual Arming Outside of Scheduled Time"
Important Notes
⚠️Please review the following before enabling this feature:
Prior to enabling, please be sure to disable
Manage Site Arming Schedule via App Users > Site Controls & Visibility > Edit > Manage Site Arming Schedule
(Restricted Arming is controlled via the Arming Schedule)
Once enabled, all App Users — regardless of User Role — will be unable to arm the site via the CHeKT App during restricted hours.
If the site requires arming during a restricted time, it must be done manually via the Dealer Portal.
With Arming Restriction enabled, should App Users attempt to arm their site, they will get the message "Arming is only permitted during your system's scheduled period. To make changes or for help, please contact your security provider"
