Sync Bridge and Alarm Panel Ground

Sync Bridge and Alarm Panel Ground

Important Information:
  1. Wiring an alarm panel and zones to the Bridge:  Click Here
When the Bridge is powered by the alarm panel, the Bridge is sharing a common ground with the alarm panel and this is not required.  If you are powering your Bridge from an independent power supply that does not share a common ground you will need to sync the ground of the Bridge and alarm panel to ensure the Bridge Alarm Inputs trigger correctly.
1. Power Supply Ground Sync
This option requires a single wire from the Aux (neg) power output of the alarm panel to the power ground input of the Bridge. With this option, the (G)round Inputs for the Bridge alarm zones do not need to be wired.

2. Bridge Alarm Input Ground Sync
With this option, you will run a wire from the first used alarm panel zone common ground terminal to the first used Bridge ground terminal.  Once this is completed, the remaining zones do not require a ground wire, since all Alarm Input Ground terminals are common on the Bridge.
