Alarm Panel Pairing: Configuring the Bridge Arming Options

Alarm Panel Pairing Mode
When a Bridge is programming in Alarm Panel Pairing mode, the Bridge is a video alarm module to the on-site alarm system.  The Bridge will capture video events for all alarm zone triggers.  To change your Site Programming mode from Alarm Panel Pairing to CHeKT Video Security System mode, follow the direction found here: Setting the Site Arming Mode
Why is using the Arming Input Important?
The armed state of the Bridge will control when a triggered zones or camera analytics should create an alarm signal and video event to a central station.

Armed State

Like a traditional Alarm Panel, the CHeKT Bridge has an Armed and Disarmed state.
  1. Armed: When a Bridge is "Armed", triggers from Alarm Inputs or Camera Analytics of the Bridge will create an alarm and video event in the CHeKT Cloud.
  2. Disarmed: When the Bridge is "Disarmed" events will not be uploaded to the CHeKT Portal.  (*It is very important to understand that when a Bridge is set to "Disarmed" the CHeKT Portal will not have any video events, even if the alarm panel is armed.)
  3. Partially Armed: This means that your site has more than one Bridge and some Bridges are armed and some are disarmed.  In this condition, the alarm and video events are generated only for Bridges in an Armed state.
The Armed state of your Site is visible on the customer details and on each Bridge of the device list.

Configuring the Arming Options: Site Level

To Configure, go to Site Devices -> Programming and Edit the Arming Source

Configuring the Arming Options: Bridge Settings

To Configure, go to General Setting of a Bridge and select the Arm Status.

There are a couple of different methods for configuring Arming settings on the Bridge.

  1. Voltage Arming:  This method arms or disarms the Bridge based on the voltage on the Bridge's Arming Pin.  Many alarm panels have a programmable output that can follow the arming state of the alarm panel. Using this output you can choose to have the Bridge follow the arming and disarming of the alarm panel.
    1. (High or Low Arming): When using the voltage arming options, the Bridge can arm to Voltage going to a high range or moving to a low range.  These ranges can be adjusted to match the high and low output ranges of your alarm panel.
  2. Static: Always Armed or Disarmed will allow you to define a static state of the Bridge.  With this setting, the Bridge will not arm or disarm with Arming Pin.

Opening and Closing Signals

When each Bridge is armed or disarmed a Closing and Opening signal is sent to your programmed central station.
