Enabling The Talk Down Service

This service allows the central station operator to send a Text-To-Speech Message over a local speaker system at a site from the CHeKT Monitoring Portal. 
  1. The Bridge must be installed and configured to connect to a local amplified speaker system. Click here for information.
  2. The Talk Down Service can also be used over an IP Speaker. Click here for directions & information.

Steps to enable The Talk Down Service:

  1. Access Your Dealer Dashboard
  2. Select Pertinent Customer Site
  3. Click the "Site Settings" tab
  4. Click the "Service Plan" subtab
  5. Click "Edit Service" (Notice that Talk Down is currently Grayed out) 


(Note, if you cannot access this module, you may need to contact the central station that manages your CHeKT service and request the change)
  1. Click to select box for The Talk Down Service plan and click "Save Changes:"



  1. Verify "Talk Down" is now available in the Monitoring Portal.
