VMS Video Vault – Site-Based Cloud Video Recording & Storage Services

Overview

CHEKT's VMS Video Vault is a site-based cloud video recording and storage solution. Each site can be individually assigned a Video Vault plan, ensuring flexible and scalable storage options tailored to its unique security needs. Video Vault plans are available as add-on services per site and are only accessible to dealers on the Professional or Premium dealer plan. Dealers on the Basic plan must first upgrade before enabling any Video Vault tier.

Plan Tiers

Basic (No VMS) — Included with Site

The default plan for all sites. No VMS add-on is required. Every site automatically starts on this tier, providing essential video event storage based on the dealer's plan level.

Features:

1. Alarm-Triggered Video Storage

Video clips are generated and stored in the cloud when an alarm event is triggered. Storage duration is based on the dealer's active plan (30, 90, or 365 days).

2. Automation Video Event Storage

Video events triggered through automation rules are captured and stored in the cloud, also subject to the dealer's plan-level storage duration.

Note on Cloud AI at the Basic Tier: AI filtering is available but deducts from the dealer's plan-level subscription cap — 5,000 events/month on Professional and 30,000 events/month on Premium.

Tier 1: Video Vault — $10/site/month

The entry-level plan that enables cloud-based video event recording for a site.

Features:

1. 24/7 Cloud-Based Event Recording

Dealers can enable continuous video event recording for each camera on the site. All events are stored in the CHEKT Cloud, giving customers instant access to recordings at any time. This reduces technical support calls and eliminates the need for an on-site NVR, ensuring data redundancy and seamless access through the CHEKT Cloud.

• Events are triggered by digital input or camera analytics
• Recording occurs whether the system is armed or disarmed
• Disarmed events do not signal the central station but do notify the customer via the CHEKT app.

2. Onboard Device Storage Access

For cameras that support ONVIF Profile G, customers can access SD card recordings directly through the End-User Mobile app and Web-portal .

• Works reliably with CHEKT & Axis cameras. 
• Storage capacity depends on the camera's SD card size and recording quality
• Not all manufacturers fully support ONVIF Profile G across all models

3. Event Package

• Includes 2,000 events per month
• Additional events are billed in increments of 2,000 events at $3 per package

Tier 2: Video Vault Plus — $35/site/month

Includes all features from Tier 1, plus expanded event capacity and time-lapse recording.

Features:

1. All Video Vault (Tier 1) Features

• 24/7 Cloud-Based Event Recording
• Onboard Device Storage Access (for Profile G-supported cameras)

2. Unlimited Cloud Event Storage (No Overage Charges)

Alarm events are no longer capped. Sites can generate as many alarm video events as needed without incurring additional overage charges.

Important: "Unlimited" refers to the number of events, not the storage duration. Video access is still limited to 90 or 365 days based on the dealer's plan.

3. Time-Lapse Service (Per Camera)

When enabled, the system automatically generates a 30-second compressed clip for every hour of footage — creating an easy-to-review time-lapse of all activity.

• Configured per camera or across all cameras on a site
• Time-lapse clips are stored in the cloud and accessible through the CHEKT app
• Generated every hour, around the clock

Tier 3: Video Vault Plus AI — $79/site/month

The most comprehensive plan, including all features from Tiers 1 and 2, plus unlimited AI-powered event filtering.

• 24/7 Cloud-Based Event Recording
• Onboard Device Storage Access
• Unlimited Alarm Events
• Time-Lapse Service

2. Unlimited Cloud AI Filtering (No Overage Charges)

Sites on this plan can use CHEKT's Cloud AI event filtering on all cameras without any usage limits.

• AI-filtered events on this site do not deduct from the dealer's plan-level AI subscription cap (5,000/month on Professional; 30,000/month on Premium)
• The site generates its own unlimited AI filtering pool
• Dealers can enable AI filtering across all cameras on the site with no additional cost
