Welcome to CHeKT - Getting Started
As a first time dealer below are a few initial steps to get you started with the CHeKT Dealer Portal.
- Users, Permission Groups, and Security Groups: These three categories, all found under Settings, determine who is allowed to log in, where they are allowed to log in from, and what actions they are able to perform once authenticated. Click Here for further instructions.
- Create Additional Services: If you would like to track hours and estimated costs of CHeKT Installation and service, additional Services will need added with the appropriate rates and default. Click here for instructions on creating a Service Type.
- Setup an XML Receiver (Central Stations Only): If you are a central station you will want to configure your XML receiver. With the XML receiver setup, you can receive alarm and system trouble signals into your automation platform from the Bridge or the CHeKT Portal. This also allows additional information from operator interaction in the portal to be sent in to automation so you can look at everything in one place. Find Instructions for your platform here.
- Setup you Monitoring Station: Whether you are your own central station, or you use a third-party central station, a Monitoring Station needs setup that links your accounts to the CS you contract with. Click here for instructions on creating the Monitoring Station.
- Configure your Default Alarm Library: The settings defined here with be set as the defaults for every new customer added to the CHeKT portal. They can be overridden for a specific customer, and even down to a single specific zone when necessary. These settings should be how you expect to operate with the majority of your customers.

You can specify default TTS Messages for use with every site, and can also apply custom ones to individual sites as necessary. Click here for more information on TTS
