CHeKT Virtual Guard Tours

CHeKT Virtual Guard Tours

CHeKT is proud to announce the release of our Virtual Guard Tours, which will initiate a prompted review of a selected site's live video streams by a central station operator on an hourly schedule.
This feature is only availble on the Premium licensed dealer plan. Dealers desiring to use Vitual Guard Tours will need to upgrade their CHeKT Dealer account to the Premium Dealer Plan.

Provide clients with scheduled remote look-ins, 24-hour timelapse recording, 1 year of cloud storage, and remote audio broadcasts for notifications and instructions. Our new VGT feature opens new service opportunities for remote guard patrolling.

Enabling and Configuring Virtual Guard Tours

To configure, start by ensuring you have the proper customer account selected from the  customers menu:

Select Site Details and Virtual Guard Tour:

In the presented summary window, click the edit tab to enable the selecting of the three menu items:

The sliders for the Three Toggle Options will illuminate as selectable; turning any slider blue enables that function.

  1. Enable Virtual Guard Tour Schedule will activate the schedule selector in the window below. This item will need to be enabled and saved for Guard Tour Scheduling to be available.
  2. Enable Virtual Guard Tour CS Signal will activate the transmission of the E610 Contact ID signal to the selected central station when the guard tour goes active.
  3. Create Time Lapsed Video Every hour will activate the automated creation of the time lapse video clips on the schedule selected. A one-hour clip from each camera on site will be created and ready for review when the operator is prompted to perform the tour.
For the Guard Tour to be operational, users will want to enable the first slider to set the schedule and at least one of the remaining two sliders. Only enabling the first slider will allow a user to set the schedule, but no action will be taken unless one or both of the others are selected.

After the Actions are selected, click Done:

Each item will have an enabled flag visible after the save:

With the Schedule and desired actions enabled, move down to the schedule to list the times that the Guard Tour should be activated.

Start by clicking on the Start Your First Tour button

Then Edit Tour:

Click on any of the hour segments to enable; time frames that are selected will show a blue circle around the programmed time:

To select a different time in an hour segment, drag the blue circle left or right:

Click the Done button when the desired time entries have been added

With the scheule in place and the Virtual Guard Tour CS signal enable, a VGT event will be intiated in your alarm monitoring center.  This signal will intiate the operator to view the sites cameras and review any time lapse videos.

Manually Checking the Virtual Guard Tour in your Video Monitoring Portal Interface

Locate and click the Tour button when logged in to the Monitoring Portal interface with the configured customer selected:

In the Video Guard Tour Menu, click the arrow to expand the list of Time-Lapse Videos available for review:

Red Clips are still unviewed, click one to view:

The Viewed Clip will update to a grey color, and the Viewed tag will appear next to it.

The Time-Lapse Video Segments are created for the entire hour, independent of the start time of the guard tour. When the tour is activated, the most recent hour of time-lapsed videos will be displayed, with an option to show previous hour below.

Once the agent has viewed all of the applicable Time-Lapse videos, they can click the complete tour button:

A success message and confetti graphic will be displayed:

The user who completed the tour will be noted in the Site Reports:
