Patriot Integration Setup

Patriot Integration Setup

(Version 6.9 or newer required)

A receiver URL:Port can be defined in the CHeKT Dealer Portal under the "Gear;" the customer will open a path through the firewall into the server for their selected Port.

Patriot will need to assist with this Definition on the Patriot Software side if required by the customer~

Steps to Patriot Integration:
  • Receiving Alarm Signals from the CHeKT Portal
  • Add CHeKT Contact ID Codes: Details Here
  • Launching the CHeKT portal when an alarm is received from outside of the CHeKT Portal

Receiving Alarm Signals from the CHeKT Portal

This communication method will allow the Patriot Software to receive CONTACT ID troubles and alarm codes sent directly from our portal, as either an augment or replacement for traditional alarm panel signaling:

  2. (https://support.chekt.com/portal/en/kb/articles/understanding-the-chekt-xml-alarm-library)

Navigate to the global options, and to XML Receiver in the sub-menu.

Click Add:

The status of the adapter is available by clicking on the newly added receiver in the same menu:

Launching CHeKT from Patriot

There are a few steps necessary to cause an alarm signal in Patriot to launch the CHeKT Monitoring Portal.

The first step is to obtain the Base URL for the Target Account and any additional Zone URL Variables:

With a customer selected in your dealer portal, you  will be able to see a base URL using the Site ID under the "General" tab:

This Unique URL will allow the Patriot Platform to present the path for the operator to one-click navigate to the target customer account.

*Note the Base URL for our Monitoring Portal is https://monitoring.chekt.com/, "dev" url for demonstration purposes

Take note of any zones defined for the target customer in the dealer portal for the custom zone response:

While in the portal, go on ahead and load the unique account Identifier on the front of the customer page, this will point the web-based signaling to the correct account history.

As this point, the URL will work using the site ID (above) or account ID (https://monitoring.chektdev.com/monitoring?act=8989)  and resolve in the correct location, but now all signals coming from our portal will land in the 8989 account history.

When the setup is completed, the Operator will see a path to the general account in the event of a Burglary lacking matching zone information:

Add A custom Zone - Defined URL in the event of a Burglary with a matching zone:

Create A Site-Based URL

The URL for the customer account you extracted from the monitoring portal can be loaded as a site-based instruction:
  1. Navigate to the "Site instructions Tab" for the Target Account in the "Response" menu:

  1. Copy the URL with the Site = ID into the Instruction Tab
  2. Click "Preview" To verify:

  3. Test by Creating a Manual Alarm for that account and verifying the link appears as a "site Instruction:"

Create a Zone Specific URL for this Account:

Above we have the automation navigating to the CHeKT Portal, and using that Unique Site ID, the portal will open to the live view of the cameras learned into that account, and present any snapshots in the (last 10 minutes) que.

CHeKT can also associate zone numbers with particular Cameras. This is required for the auto-generation of the "playback" clip when using the "Rewind" function. Once the zone is associated, the URL can be set to target that particular camera in the event of an alarm on that zone.

The Zones are defined at each camera, under the alarm tab in the Dealer Portal, and normally chosen during setup.

You should have any pertinent zones handy from the first steps.

For each Alarm Zone that you have defined in the dealer portal, you will simply create a unique instruction for that alarm zone in the Patriot Customer account:

When the alarm comes in from that zone, the operator should have a URL targeting that associated camera:
