Links to additional steps:
  1. Creating a SiteCreating a New Customer Site
  2. Registering Cameras: Adding Cameras to a CHeKT Bridge

1. Registering a CHeKT Bridge
Once you have created a customer account site you can proceed to register a bridge in the account Site.  Accounts can have more then one bridge registered.
  1. Select "Site Devices" from the customer menu
  2. Select "Devices" from submenu.
  3. Click on either the "Add and Select Add Bridge" at the top corner of the device list or "Create a Device" option on the list; both will bring you you the next window.

Step 1: Information

  1. Bridge NameThe name should be used as a reference name for the Bridge device on the site.
  2. Mac Address & Entry Key: Manually enter the Mac Address & Entry Key found on the QR code sticker labeled on the front face of your bridge.
Scan QR Code: Due to the variation of web camera resolutions & focus ability, scanning the QR Code of your bridge may be a challenge, but this method is operable. You may need to give the dealer portal access to your camera in order to utilize it for scanning.
Step 2: Firmware Check

This step will automatically check your bridge firmware version, while we strongly recommend that you updgrade your bridge to the latest firmware, you do have the option to either choose a different version (if available) by clicking show details or skipping this step. However having your bridge on the latest Firmware will improve the performance, camera compatability, and dramatically reduce drawbacks, etc.
To review current and previous Firmware Version Release Notes Click Here.

To upgrade your bridge's firmware, simply click on the FW Update button and your bridge will begin downloading the new firmware and reboot.

The process should take about 5 minutes and we strongly advise to not disturb the bridge's power and network connections during this process.
Step 3. Arming Method

CHeKT Video Security System
Your Bridge can also be set as a Stand-Alone Video Security System.
CHeKT's stand-alone Video Security System setup allows integrators to use the Bridge as an independent video security system. All Bridges on the site are armed and disarmed from the end-user app or the CHeKT dealer portal. With this method, the Bridges do not need a traditional alarm panel on-site for arming, and should be programmed to communicate alarm and video events to an alarm monitoring center. Information on how to configure your bridge as a stand alone click here.
Alarm Panel Pairing:
In this step, you can configure your bridge's arming options and preset the arming voltage ranges based on the alarm panel you will be wiring your bridge to. If you are unsure, or have not wired your panel's programmable output to the bridge's arming pin yet, this step can be skipped to be configured in the bridge settings at later time.
Bridges are armed and disarmed individually based on the voltage settings and the wiring with the on-site alarm panel. This pairing method allows Bridges to follow the armed and disarmed state of an alarm panel using the programmable output or PGMs of the alarm panel. Settings and voltage values for each Bridge are programmed on the Bridge settings. Information on how to program and wire various alarm panels with the Bridge is Here.
Step 4. Alarm Zone Programing

In this step, you can congfirure the Bridge's Alarm Input Voltage Range based on the type of alarm panel zone terminals you will be wiring your bridge to.
All alarm panel brands have a specific voltage range for Normal and Alarm conditions on the panel zones. When wiring alarm panel zones into the Bridge zone inputs, it’s essential to ensure the Bridge is programming to use the correct normal and alarm range for the specific panel. In this step there are presets defined for several panels in the dropdown menu. If your panel is not listed, a technician will need to use a voltage meter to confirm the normal and alarm range for the panel in use. The Bridge and the alarm panel must share a common 12v ground to ensure proper voltage readings. For wiring guidance, click here.
You can also configure the Bridge's timer settings in this step. These timers must match those of the alarm panel if the bridge is going to be paired up with one, or adjust them as how you wish the bridge to behave in a Stand-Alone Video Security System setup.
Entry DelayWhen an alarm zone is triggered, the “Entry/Exit” zone triggered will capture the video of the initial trigger and hold the event. If system is disarmed within the timer time, the event is discarded. If the system is not disarmed within the delay timer, the event is stored as an alarm.
Exit DelayWhen a system is armed, any triggers on “Entry/Exit” zones will be ignored for the amount of the exit timer.
Bell DurationWhen as system goes into an alarm condition, all Entry/Exit and Follower zones behave like instant zones during this duration. Once the duration is complete the zone reset to follow normal conditions.

Step 5. Service Plan

In this step you can adjust the amount of video event clips that the customer site will be utilizing per month and select and enable the following additional services:
Video Event Clips: CHeKT will provide a four-second video clip (2 images per second) of alarm events from independent cameras to the CHeKT cloud when one of four digital inputs is triggered from an alarm panel. In addition, This service also provides verification and sharing.
Talk Down: This enables a feature in the CHeKT Monitoring Portal that provides operators with the ability to talk down to a location using the CHeKT Bridge. This service allows for one-way audio down to all CHeKT Bridge devices on a site and required the Bridge hardware to be connect to an amplified speaker system. This service is a Text-To-Speech translator.
2-Minute Playback: With this service enabled, CHeKT will enable the On-Demand 2-Minute Playback feature. A 2-Minute Playback can be initiated by any user in the CHeKT Monitoring Portal. It is recommended that this feature is enabled if the CHeKT Bridge is used to verify any wireless alarm panel zones. Each stored 2-minute clip counts as a single event toward the Video Event Clips on an account.
Remote Device Connection: With this service, dealers can remotely access the web interface of devices for remote manage and configuration of devices on the site's network.
If this step is greyed out and disabled for configuration, you most likely are a subdealer and you will need to contact your monitoring station to adjust and enable additional services; you may skip this step.
Step 6. All Done

At this step, you have successfully registered and configure your first bridge at your customer site account. From here you can proceed to begin registering and mounting cameras, register a new bridge which will sync all the settings of the first bridge that was previously registered, or click done.
