Wiring the Arming/Disarm Input of the Bridge (Pre 2019 Bridge Hardware)

Why is using the Bridge Arming Input Important?
Like an alarm panel, the armed state of the Bridge will control when the Bridge input zones and events from camera analytics are active and send signals to a central station.  If you set the Bridge to "Always Armed," the Bridge will upload video events to the Cloud on all event triggers - even if the alarm panel is disarmed.  This may lead to overage charges on your monthly service plan and poor service for your customer. 

For most alarm panels you can use one of the programmable outputs from the panel to arm and disarm the CHeKT Bridge. We have provided directions below on how to program the output for the more common alarm panels in the industry.  
CHeKT Dealer Portal Bridge Configuration:
Because the output voltage values are different for each alarm panel you need to program the CHeKT Bridge to follow the disarmed and armed values for your panel.  Keep in mind that the arming pin for our CHeKT Bridge has a voltage meter that can be programmed to arm and disarm with any voltage ranging from 0v - 12v.  This allows security integrators the ability to use any voltage change to arm and disarm the Bridge.

Common Ground:
Each of the wiring methods below requires the CHeKT Bridge hardware to share a common ground with the alarm panel.  If your Bridge is powered by the Aux Power output of the alarm panel, then by nature, the Bridge shares a ground with the alarm panel.  If you are powering the Bridge with a power supply, then you need to sync the Bridge and Alarm panel Ground.  More information on this is available in this article: Click Here
